Laco Madar was born in town Rimavska Sobota of south Slovakia. In photography he is autodidact following the strong period of Magnum photographers of the 80-90's of the last century. His photography is mainly focused on the social aspect of human being. Long term project is the main key in which he believe in. His mentor is Slovak expressive documentary photographer Matus Zajac.
